Spelling Tip: Difference Between Advice and Advise

by Joanne on September 13, 2009

in English

We’re long past due for a spelling tip post, so here it is. A common mistake I see is people using advise when they should be using advice. Try to remember the difference this way:

Giving advice is a vice that many people have.

Advisors like to advise others on proper procedure.

I would advise you to seek advice from someone you respect and trust.
