Ex-Vegan Speaks Against Veganism as an Agricultural Horror

Michael Eades posted today about a book by Leirre Keith called The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice, and Sustainability , which ties in well with some of the thoughts I posted yesterday. Thanks, Michael! I’m definitely going to have to get my hands on this book. (So many good books, so little time.)

I wanted to share a short video with you in which Keith discusses some of the agricultural problems with the vegetarian/vegan diet.

Did someone mention baby bunnies?

Hi, Joanne:
Thanks a lot! I spent waaaayyy too much time this morning reading Michael Eade’s review of Keith’s book when I should’ve been getting my work done. Oh, and I was eating a salad while I read your blog, then scrolled down to the baby bunny. LOL!
Anyway, your link to The Vegetarian Myth doesn’t include the ASIN. If you update your link, I’ll come back and use your link to buy the book so you get the commission.
Thanks,
Sharon

Whoops! Thank you for letting me know the link was bad, and for ordering through here.

Toby ate only half the bunny, but somebody else finished it off. You should see what else I have in the fridge.

“If all of creation is God evolving in form and character, then we humans as spiritual beings are one of the most advanced manifestations of God on Planet Earth. And we got this way because we were able to sustain ourselves on densely nutritious meat instead of spending all day chewing leaves and evolving a digestive system to process them. This gave us time to cogitate, instead of ruminate, and freedom to emulate a creative Creator. Our plant-eating cousins are still sitting in the rain chomping on leaves.”

Loved that comment from the amazon.com review section of Keith’s book so much that I decided to check out your site. At first glance, it looks awesome. I’ll be checking out your blog in the future. Life calls at this very moment.

Okay, thanks. I also ordered another book while I was there. Do you get commission from just the book you linked to, or everything I order while I’m there? Also, can you get commission from sales that I search for using the search box on your blog to enter Amazon? I didn’t see anything in the URL that linked to your Associate’s account? If I knew you’d always get commission, I’d do all my Amazon purchases through your blog.

Lorenzo, glad to have you. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Sharon, my account doesn’t show the books as having been purchased yet. I don’t know how long it takes to show up though. But if you were on Amazon and then came to my site and then went to Amazon, I won’t get credit. I think just closing browsers and starting fresh takes care of the issue.

You can click on any review here or search through the search box and I’ll get an affiliate commission for every purchase you make in the following 24 hours. That would be awsome if you came through my site to buy off Amazon. Thanks a lot!

Hmmm. Yes, I was on Amazon reading reviews of the book first, but I closed that browser instance and opened a new one by clicking on your link. Could be that I should have also logged off before doing that. I’m sorry if I messed up this time, but I’ll be sure to do better next time! I also did an advance purchase of Michael Eades new book, as definitely want to read it.

Yay! They came through. Orders for one day don’t show until the next day. Thanks, Sharon!

Someone else bought a bunch of stuff a couple days ago. Thank you, everybody!
