Hello I'm new at this but here goes:I'm a 14 year old girl, 5' 9" and, sadly, 190 lbs. I have never really had the willpower to stick to a diet because it felt too restricted and i felt like I wasn't getting results. Lately I had realized that I tend to convince myself that i will always be fat, which leaves me with no determination or motivation, or self esteem for thAt matter, but I ordered this book off amazon and i am really looking forward to using it. Also I have wanted to try hypnosis. . . Well we will see. Thank you though for posting an honest review.

I received the book on the time through their site and I have no complain to make regarding it. Though I have not started using the techniques but the stuff does make sense.

I just wanted to tell those that are interested in the book to PURCHASE IT AT A LOCAL STORE OR ORDER IT FROM A BOOKSTORE.
Do not.. and I repeated DO NOT order it from the site.
It takes them 8 long days BEFORE they will even ship you your book.
None of the links to the seminar they sent me worked.
Right after I purchased, I followed the link they sent me to my downloads.
They didn't work so I contacted them right away.
It's been almost a week now and I still have no reply.
They have charged my the 545 and still I get nothing.
I've emailed them 5 times already.
They have very poor customer support as there is no phone number to their shipping department.
I will have to call my credit card company to try to get my money back.
The book is great but if you're planning to purchase it, don't do it at their site!

I've been using the Gabriel Method for 2 months and I have never been so healthy. I've lost nearly two dress sizes and my eating habits have completely changed. Whereas I used to crave crackers, cookies, cakes and ice cream, I now crave salads, fruits, veggies and lots of water. I've gone from drinking nearly 1 pot of coffee every day to two cups in the a.m. I exercise when I'm able (a struggle with my schedule but I'm managing.)

The visualization methods encouraged by Jon were completely new to me. I'm not a "Be Still and Know that I am God" kind of a gal. But very slowly, I'm learning to train my mind to settle down for a few minutes every day. The CD is of tremendous help. I'm now begining to get up just a little bit early in the a.m. to practice my visualization.

My body really is beginning to look like the person I always wanted to be. I still have some way to go but this is a very exciting process for me. I'm very grateful to Jon for publishing this book and sharing his story. I highly recommend this to anybody looking to change their health and weight on a permanent basis.

Gabriel's not really teaching anything new, but he's brought the best together into one book. That's why I value it so highly. (As someone who loves New Thought and Health, this book really impressed me.) It's not about counting carbs or regimenting life style but about imagination and making better choices.

You're so right about the fire inside. I once hit the obese column and stayed there for a couple years. My business was doing poorly, I was isolated and uncertain, a number of factors came into play to make me basically not care. But I refused to diet, because it had never worked before. Since then I've lost 30 pounds just eating better and being happier. I made major life changes, which are being slowly reflected in my body.

If you're persistent, you can pretend your way into the fire.

I'm glad you like this blog, and I appreciate your contributions.

I am not familiar with and have not read the book, and if I choose to, I will order via this website -- thank you for the review. It does look promising, but the reading pile currently grows :-(

I possess a degree in physiology, and have worked in the fields of exercise and fitness (not necessarily synonyms) for 30 years. As in all areas of modern life, conflict among agendas is currently at at fever pitch. Somebody is always selling something, and the other guys ideas, programs, etc. are always yesterday's news.

With regard to what protocols offer the most utility, I don't believe we are as advanced as we suggest we are. Mayans, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans were not too chunky. I have worked with many Modern Americans who have lost weight and kept it off -- for most it has been life changing to say the least. Most of them became heavy in adult life -- they were not born heavy. Whatever peripheral issues (psychological, environmental, medical, and so-on) which led them to become heavy. They have one thing in common above others: The fire inside -- the choice they made that enough was enough and that change be born.

You can't coach heart, and you can't teach fire.

BTW: I enjoy this blog a great deal. My gray matter swims in this stuff.

There is a great
