The Revolutionary DIET-FREE Way to Totally Transform Your Body by Jon Gabriel

Excellent advice for those wishing to make major dietary and body changes

The Gabriel Method isn’t just another weight loss book about “thinking yourself thin.” It’s a fantastic compilation of advice that covers the mental, spiritual and physical aspects of body identity and nutrition. And it’s all very simply presented and easy to execute.

I’ve done my share in the past 30+ years of losing weight by dieting and gaining it back. The current advice to cut calories and exercise just hasn’t worked well for us. At some point you have to realize that what you’re doing isn’t working. I finally gave up on dieting, and in the past two years I’ve lost over 30 pounds.

Gabriel offers so many wonderful suggestions that include eating grass-fed meat and living fruits and vegetables; drinking water; consuming omega 3s; exercising like our ancestors; eating earlier in the day rather than later; chewing food; conscious eating; the role of enzymes and bacteria; and spending time in nature and in the sun. He discusses how the body uses fat cells to safely store toxins and how drugs and other items ingested affect our bodies.

Equally important to diet is understanding how our thoughts affect our body image and possible psychological reasons as to why we are fat, such as using fat as a barrier to intimacy or control by others, or consuming foods as replacements for love or security. No weight loss can be sustained without addressing these emotional factors.

Gabriel also discusses the role of physiology and the reptilian brain inherited from our ancestors that controls the level of fat we retain based on inherent survival needs–the classic fight, flight or freeze.

And the icing on the cake is the New Thought use of the mind to change physical reality, popularly known as manifesting. Visualization of the desired body and faith in its eventual manifestation not only affects reality but prompts different choices. If you’re sitting in front of the TV getting depressed thinking you’ll always be a fat slug, you’ll be much more inclined to eat a bag of potato chips in resignation than if you’re looking at a picture imagining you’re thin and active. Using our mind to imagine our future is a powerful tool for change.

Forget low-calorie diets, shakes, pills and procedures, and get to the root of your weight problem by following the advice in this book. Highly recommended.

Buy The Gabriel Method.

I am not familiar with and have not read the book, and if I choose to, I will order via this website — thank you for the review. It does look promising, but the reading pile currently grows :-(

I possess a degree in physiology, and have worked in the fields of exercise and fitness (not necessarily synonyms) for 30 years. As in all areas of modern life, conflict among agendas is currently at at fever pitch. Somebody is always selling something, and the other guys ideas, programs, etc. are always yesterday’s news.

With regard to what protocols offer the most utility, I don’t believe we are as advanced as we suggest we are. Mayans, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans were not too chunky. I have worked with many Modern Americans who have lost weight and kept it off — for most it has been life changing to say the least. Most of them became heavy in adult life — they were not born heavy. Whatever peripheral issues (psychological, environmental, medical, and so-on) which led them to become heavy. They have one thing in common above others: The fire inside — the choice they made that enough was enough and that change be born.

You can’t coach heart, and you can’t teach fire.

BTW: I enjoy this blog a great deal. My gray matter swims in this stuff.

There is a great

Gabriel’s not really teaching anything new, but he’s brought the best together into one book. That’s why I value it so highly. (As someone who loves New Thought and Health, this book really impressed me.) It’s not about counting carbs or regimenting life style but about imagination and making better choices.

You’re so right about the fire inside. I once hit the obese column and stayed there for a couple years. My business was doing poorly, I was isolated and uncertain, a number of factors came into play to make me basically not care. But I refused to diet, because it had never worked before. Since then I’ve lost 30 pounds just eating better and being happier. I made major life changes, which are being slowly reflected in my body.

If you’re persistent, you can pretend your way into the fire.

I’m glad you like this blog, and I appreciate your contributions.

I’ve been using the Gabriel Method for 2 months and I have never been so healthy. I’ve lost nearly two dress sizes and my eating habits have completely changed. Whereas I used to crave crackers, cookies, cakes and ice cream, I now crave salads, fruits, veggies and lots of water. I’ve gone from drinking nearly 1 pot of coffee every day to two cups in the a.m. I exercise when I’m able (a struggle with my schedule but I’m managing.)

The visualization methods encouraged by Jon were completely new to me. I’m not a “Be Still and Know that I am God” kind of a gal. But very slowly, I’m learning to train my mind to settle down for a few minutes every day. The CD is of tremendous help. I’m now begining to get up just a little bit early in the a.m. to practice my visualization.

My body really is beginning to look like the person I always wanted to be. I still have some way to go but this is a very exciting process for me. I’m very grateful to Jon for publishing this book and sharing his story. I highly recommend this to anybody looking to change their health and weight on a permanent basis.

I just wanted to tell those that are interested in the book to PURCHASE IT AT A LOCAL STORE OR ORDER IT FROM A BOOKSTORE.
Do not.. and I repeated DO NOT order it from the site.
It takes them 8 long days BEFORE they will even ship you your book.
None of the links to the seminar they sent me worked.
Right after I purchased, I followed the link they sent me to my downloads.
They didn’t work so I contacted them right away.
It’s been almost a week now and I still have no reply.
They have charged my the 545 and still I get nothing.
I’ve emailed them 5 times already.
They have very poor customer support as there is no phone number to their shipping department.
I will have to call my credit card company to try to get my money back.
The book is great but if you’re planning to purchase it, don’t do it at their site!

I received the book on the time through their site and I have no complain to make regarding it. Though I have not started using the techniques but the stuff does make sense.

Hello I’m new at this but here goes:I’m a 14 year old girl, 5′ 9″ and, sadly, 190 lbs. I have never really had the willpower to stick to a diet because it felt too restricted and i felt like I wasn’t getting results. Lately I had realized that I tend to convince myself that i will always be fat, which leaves me with no determination or motivation, or self esteem for thAt matter, but I ordered this book off amazon and i am really looking forward to using it. Also I have wanted to try hypnosis. . . Well we will see. Thank you though for posting an honest review.
